As you can see the overall theme is 'space' I based my design off of some old images out of my astronomy book seen in a temple wall (no there weren't pictures of war horses)
After seeing a number of people using the 'rhino' horns i changed my original head wear to this more 'bladed' version. and I love it...

As you can see, a large % of the metal plating is a dark grey to show the blackness of space.
The cloth around the saddle has the interwoven strands of metals to provide a light glimmer and strengthen the cloth (though it can still be cut with force)

Over the heart and chest of the war horse lays a golden sun with a blue topaz protected by a clear layer of an almost 'glass' that is 'painted' over it. through infact the coating is very hard to scrape or crack.

On the lower legs are sharp spikes which are only placed on the outside of the legs. This keeps the horse from accidentally clipping himself. On the knee and Hock are a leather to keep from hindering movement.
Leather straps are also what keeps the upper and lower leg armor secure. Upon the from legs are three crescent moons painted inside of an engraved design.

The rear metal plating have three sideways 'crescent' blades to keep anyone from trying to hop on behind the rider.

The neck is protected by a lightweight chainmail. Underneath that, is a thin blue fabric to prevent pinching of the skin.

On the back legs, above the hock, the metal is layered to keep from hindering movement.

On the golden fabric behind the saddle, our moon and star theme is printed out in light blue.

We have added a second girth to help keep the saddle secure while the horse is whirling and bucking in battle. A single girth would allow the saddle to flop about, harming the horse..

And finally... an area most over look.. the underside of the horse's chest. We have a leather 'sheild' to protect most of the exposed underside. This especially is helpful when a horse is rearing.

The spikes on the legs, face blade, and the rear crescent blades are all removable and come with 'fake' replacements for the conveyance of not hurting others in fun horse shows.

The neck cloth/chainmail, and the underside 'sheild' are also removable.
