Lance sat on a bench inside the stallion's barn, polishing tack. He and Sam, the new hired riders, had been at Iron Dune Stable for a few months now. The stable wasn't as large as most but it was a very nice facility. It was clean and very well kept with kind , honest employees. Or so at least that's what they thought... He glanced up as the other jockey, Cole, walked by. "Morning Cole." he said with a grin.. or was it a snarl?
Cole just looked at him. "Morning" he muttered, clearly not feeling to friendly towards him either. "Take advantage of anyone recently?" he hissed sharply.
Just then, Heather walked in leading The Heist to his stall. She bolted the lock then walked back out, flashing the two a friendly smile.
Heist, was munching on his hay.
Lance, set aside the tack. "No, but i probably will soon.." he said standing as he watched Heather leave.
Cole, clenched his fist, trying not to snap.
Lance, smirked. "She's real pretty huh Cole?..I bet she's good in b.."
Before Lance could finish his sentence, Cole had grabbed Lance by the collar of his shirt and shoved him to the wall. "You. Stay. Away. From. Her." he said in an angry, low voice. "I'm serious Lance." he snarled. "I'll kill you.. I swear I will."
Lance just chuckled. "Easy there I'm not going to harm your little secret crush..just...borrow her.." he said.
Cole tightened his grip on Lance's shirt. His hands shook a little at all the pent up anger before releasing the guy and storming away.
Lance calmly smoothed his shirt before putting the tack away and heading to his room.



The next week.

Lance had already spoken to Sam, the endurance rider, about one of IDS's stallions, Turkish Delight. He seemed like the perfect horse for Dane Stable's Stoltzer import hunt. The stallion would have the speed to keep up with the wild horses and the endurance , thanks to his Teke heritage, to outlast them.
Now he shifted the reins in his hands as the two walked through the spring forests of Tipper Island. Lance had come here with the intentions of finding a rare Blue Skinned Stoltzer Dane for Heather. Of course he hadn't told her though, and it would be a surprise. Even if he couldn't find a Blue Skin, he promised himself he'd come back with something wonderful for the girl. After all, it wasn't costing him a dime.. and it would be worth seeing the look on Cole's face... oh how he hated Cole.. it was Lance's unofficial life mission to destroy every bit of hope and life in that black haired boy's body.. ever since the incident a few years ago..
His attention was brought back to the present as Turk let out a whinny, which was answered by... a talking bush?
Jance caught a glimpse of the tip of an ear and urged Turk into action. "Yip!" he snapped and the stallion took off. That was a key word Sam told him to use. It seemed to make the Teke take off like a pack of demons were after him..
"WOAH!" Lance yelped, ahead was an old stump of sorts that must be too high for an untrained horse to jump!
Turk didn't seem to have any intentions on stopping though. As the wild Stoltzer easily flew over the stump, Turk gathered himself and WOOSH, he flew right over it too!

um i suck at stories but olay! oh well
now i think i'd be happy with my art if i could A) get better at stories, B) get WAY better at drawing humans, and C) continue getting better at back grounds. This is a rough one but still eep! it's better than my older ones.



I'd Love to be able to own a Blue Skinned Stoltzer, mare or stud, it doesn't matter to me. and neither do the markings.

But if i can't have that color, then a Silver Skinned or anything but bay is fine with me.
